MOONCOIN CEILIDH BAND

MOONCOIN is a traditional barn dance or ceilidh band ( sometimes spelt 'ceili' ) based in North Wales, UK.

Founded in 1985, we are North Wales' most popular ceilidh band.

We play a variety of folk music from the British Isles and beyond, including Irish, Welsh, Scottish, English, American and European tunes, for dancers of all abilities and ages.

We generally cover the area of North and Mid- Wales and the borders, extending into Cheshire, Shropshire, and occasionally Herefordshire & Worcestershire

The band is available for community dances, weddings, functions, corporate events, private parties, ceilidhs, barn dances, twmpaths or any type of celebration.
As well as playing for dancing, we are available to play informal performances of our music for a listening audience, or as live background music for events.
For ceilidhs, we have a caller, so you don't need to know the dances in advance - have fun learning the steps on the night!
Our caller uses a headset radio mic, so she can join & help the dancers on the dance floor while also calling the steps.

We are usually a 3- or 4-piece band, plus caller. We supply our own PA system.
